Swava Strzepka finished her first fashion degree in Krakow with the highest mark. After graduating she worked for two years as a designer for Rena - a company specializing in knitwear and jersey wear. After that she decided to move to England to embrace English culture and improve her language. Swava fell in love with this country and decided to apply to University of the West of England in 2008 to complete a Fashion & Textile degree. During her course she discovered that draping and working on the stand was her favorite method to develop innovative shapes and designs. For her final collection 'Beautiful Beast' she used second hand clothes and draping techniques to create fascinating shapes and cut lines for the garments. One of her biggest strengths is paying attention to detail. In her design everything has a reason: labels, stitching, unusual print and fabric manipulations make her designs extraordinary. Swava graduated from UWE with a First class degree in 2011. She would like to specialize in pattern cutting or working as a fashion designer. Since her graduation she has done work experience with a Bristol based fashion designer Eva Thyghoj and assisted during pattern cutting classes at the University. Swava is willing to learn and always strives to achieve the best standards. She had demonstrated the ability to manage her time effectively by combining full-time studies with part-time work.
